The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has announced plans to tokenize $114 trillion worth of securities using the Stellar blockchain. This initiative will cover assets including Russell 1000 stocks, ETFs, and U.S. Treasuries, marking a significant integration of traditional finance with blockchain technology. The project is set to go live in the first half of 2027, representing the first instance of Wall Street's infrastructure connecting with public crypto networks.
