DMG Blockchain has announced the creation of a new subsidiary, DMG Infrastructure, to focus on AI and high-performance computing (AI/HPC) operations. This strategic move aims to transition its data centers towards AI/HPC business initiatives, reflecting a shift in focus from traditional Bitcoin mining.
In its latest operational update, DMG Blockchain reported mining 21 BTC in April, a slight decrease from 23 BTC in March. The company held 389 BTC at the end of April, down by 9 BTC from the previous month. Additionally, DMG's hash rate has decreased to 1.54 EH/s from 1.63 EH/s in March, indicating a reduction in mining capacity.
