The Digital Currency International Operation Center announced that 39 domestic and overseas financial institutions have applied to join the "Shubida" cross-border settlement integrated service platform (CBETS) as direct participants by the end of September. This follows an initial agreement signed by 26 financial institutions, significantly expanding the network supporting digital yuan cross-border operations.
Since the beginning of this year, the center has optimized CBETS services to support bilateral interconnection with overseas monetary authorities' payment systems and legal digital currency systems, alongside direct access for overseas financial institutions. The platform now facilitates digital yuan cross-border services covering both trade settlements and cross-border movement of people.
