The Digital RMB International Operations Center unveiled its cross-border infrastructure and open ecosystem at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo, showcasing the CBETS settlement platform and mBridge multilateral CBDC bridge. Demonstrations highlighted digital RMB smart contracts for prepaid fund management and supply chain finance, supported by cryptographic security, blockchain, AI, and distributed active-active architecture.
CBETS has achieved cross-border barcode payment interoperability with Laos' LAPNet and is advancing a digital RMB cross-border payment pilot with Singapore. Twelve institutions, including ICBC, ABC, BOC, CCB, Bank of Communications, China Southern Power Grid, Huawei, and Ant Digital Technologies, are jointly building the ecosystem to support trade settlement, e-commerce payments, power settlement, and industrial chain finance.
