DigiFT, Chainlink, and UBS have joined forces to automate tokenized fund operations in Hong Kong. Under this partnership, DigiFT will manage investor orders using regulated smart contracts, while UBS will provide the tokenized funds and smart contracts for asset management. Chainlink will facilitate operations such as issuance and redemption through its Digital Transfer Agent framework, which supports multiple blockchains.
This collaboration is part of Hong Kong's Cyberport Blockchain & Digital Asset Pilot Subsidy Scheme, which aims to advance blockchain and Web3 technologies. The initiative seeks to minimize manual errors and reduce costs in the global asset management industry, valued at $132 trillion. DigiFT CEO Kevin Loo emphasized the project's significance in positioning Hong Kong as a leader in regulated digital assets.
