Deutsche Telekom and the Schwarz Group are in advanced negotiations to jointly bid for EU funding to establish an AI gigafactory in Germany. The ambitious project seeks up to €20 billion in EU support to construct large-scale data centers, each equipped with over 100,000 AI chips. This initiative aims to bolster Europe's AI infrastructure and digital sovereignty. Canadian investor Brookfield is also considering financial involvement in the venture.
