DeFi protocol Aerodrome has reported a DNS attack on its centralized domain, resulting in approximately $700,000 in user losses. The attack was allegedly executed by an insider at NameSilo, who bypassed the 3DNS multisig and redirected the domain to a malicious page. Despite this breach, Aerodrome's on-chain dApp and smart contracts remain unaffected.
In response, the Aerodrome team has shut down the compromised domain and activated a decentralized mirror. They plan to complete a domain migration next week and intend to compensate affected users proportionally to their losses.
