Datavault AI has finalized an agreement to acquire NYIAX, aiming to bolster its blockchain-based trading infrastructure for data and tokenized assets. The merger, converting a previous letter of intent into a formal deal, will integrate NYIAX's exchange technology with Datavault AI's existing tools to facilitate tokenization and trading across digital and real-world assets. The transaction, valued at approximately $60 million, involves issuing 78,947,368 common shares to NYIAX equity holders, with cash options for certain investors.
The acquisition is part of Datavault AI's strategy to expand its market presence, including planned marketplaces like the Information Data Exchange and an International Elements Exchange. The company also plans to launch a sports-focused exchange in collaboration with Sports Illustrated. NYIAX, known for its Nasdaq-based advertising exchange, will contribute to Datavault AI's goal of standardizing and enhancing transparency in media transactions. Datavault AI's shares were trading at $0.78, reflecting a market cap of about $462 million.
