Darsana Capital Partners, a hedge fund with a 60% stake in SpaceX, is poised to realize over $10 billion in paper gains as SpaceX prepares for an IPO next month. The space exploration company, led by Elon Musk, is expected to debut at a valuation exceeding $1.5 trillion. Darsana initially invested in SpaceX in 2019 when it was valued at $30 billion and has since increased its holdings. The fund's investment in SpaceX now represents nearly 60% of its $15 billion assets under management, with current holdings valued at $8.5 billion. Darsana also gained additional shares through the integration of the social media platform X into SpaceX. Meanwhile, D1 Capital Partners, another investor in SpaceX, has seen its $600 million investment grow to unrealized gains of approximately $9 billion.
