Stablecoin use in Denmark remains low and does not currently threaten domestic financial stability, the Danish central bank said in its latest analysis report. The bank noted that no Danish krone-denominated stablecoins are in circulation.
The report warned that the rapid global growth of U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoins could transmit overseas market volatility to Denmark through the U.S. financial system. USDT and USDC currently dominate the global stablecoin market, while the Danish central bank is working with the European Central Bank to ensure central bank money remains the primary asset for interbank settlement.
