AI programming tool company Cursor is nearing the completion of a new funding round, aiming to raise at least $2 billion at a pre-money valuation of $50 billion. The round is expected to be led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, with strategic investors like NVIDIA participating. Battery Ventures may also join as a new investor. This funding round marks a significant valuation increase from approximately $29.3 billion six months ago. Cursor's annualized revenue reached about $2 billion in February and is projected to exceed $6 billion by the end of 2026. The company has achieved positive gross margins in certain business segments through its proprietary models and optimized cost structure.
