Crypto.com has teamed up with South Korean fintech firm Travel Wallet to introduce a KRW-pegged stablecoin and a co-branded prepaid card. This partnership aims to enhance cryptocurrency payment options for global travelers. Travel Wallet will act as Crypto.com's primary issuing partner in South Korea, facilitating the launch of a prepaid card that supports both fiat and cryptocurrency payments worldwide. The collaboration will also see the integration of Crypto.com's 'crypto-as-a-service' tools into the Travel Wallet app, allowing users to trade digital assets directly on the platform. Additionally, the companies will promote the KRW-pegged stablecoin, which is designed to lower international transfer costs and improve transaction speed.
