Venture capital investment in the crypto and blockchain sector surged to $8.5 billion in Q4 2025, marking an 84% increase from the previous quarter, according to a report by Galaxy Digital. The quarter saw 425 deals, with late-stage companies capturing 56% of the total capital. Notable transactions included Revolut's $3 billion raise and significant investments in Touareg Group and Kraken. The year 2025 saw a total of $20 billion invested across 1,660 deals, the highest annual investment since 2022. The Trading/Exchange/Investing/Lending category led the way, attracting over $5 billion. Geographically, 55% of the capital was directed to US-based companies, with the UK and Singapore also receiving significant investments. Fundraising for crypto-focused venture funds reached $1.98 billion in Q4, contributing to a total of $8.75 billion for the year.
