The cryptocurrency market experienced $112 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, according to Coinglass data. Short positions accounted for $63.50 million of the total, surpassing the $48.95 million in long position liquidations. Bitcoin shorts were particularly affected, with $19.86 million liquidated compared to $1.96 million in Bitcoin longs. Ethereum also saw significant short liquidations at $12.51 million, while longs were liquidated for $3.85 million.
A total of 66,089 users were liquidated globally, with the largest single liquidation occurring on Hyperliquid's BTC-USD pair, amounting to $3.89 million.
