The cryptocurrency market retreated broadly over the past 24 hours as escalating U.S.-Iran tensions and rising U.S. Treasury yields weighed on risk assets. The Meme sector posted the steepest decline among major segments, falling 3.18%, with Pump.fun (PUMP) down 8.41% and OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP) losing 6.42%.
Bitcoin fell 2.15% to below $77,000, while Ethereum dropped 2.99% to below $2,400. Elsewhere, DeFi slipped 0.82% despite Uniswap (UNI) rising 11.16%; CeFi fell 1.62% with Cronos (CRO) down 3.98%; Layer 1 lost 2.82% as Canton Network (CC) dropped 7.63%; Layer 2 declined 2.92% with Arbitrum (ARB) down 1.34%; and PayFi fell 3.18% as Zcash (ZEC) lost 2.93%. The RWA sector was the only segment described as relatively resilient, while Robinhood Chain ecosystem tokens Pons (PONS) and Cash Cat (CASHCAT) gained 0.96% and 2.83%, respectively.
