The cryptocurrency market has experienced a decline for the second consecutive day, with the Layer 2 sector leading the downturn, dropping 6.09% in the past 24 hours, according to data from SoSoValue. Notable losses in the Layer 2 sector include Mantle (MNT) falling 7.36%, Optimism (OP) down 7.73%, and zkSync (ZK) declining 8.19%. Bitcoin (BTC) also saw a decrease, falling 4.05% and briefly dipping below $71,000. Ethereum (ETH) dropped 5.54%, reaching approximately $2,200. Other sectors also faced declines, with the CeFi sector down 2.58%, the Layer 1 sector falling 3.22%, and the PayFi sector dropping 3.6%. Despite the overall downturn, some assets like Kaspa (KAS) and River (RIVER) showed resilience, rising 9.07% and 15.32% respectively.
