Consensys, the software company founded by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Rubin, is set to lay off 49 employees, representing approximately 7% of its workforce. The company stated that the layoffs are part of a reorganization strategy aimed at enhancing overall profitability. Despite the layoffs, Consensys recently acquired a startup with around 30 employees who will remain with the company. Additionally, Consensys plans to continue hiring for other positions, with its largest office located in Brooklyn.
