CoinGecko has replaced CER.live with Hacken’s CORE3 platform for the cybersecurity component of its centralized exchange Trust Score, expanding coverage to 166 exchanges and adopting a framework aimed at forward-looking risk assessment.
CORE3 said that of 193 exchanges it evaluated, about 48% provided no evidence of proof of reserves, penetration testing, or bug bounty programs, while only about 5.2% disclosed all three. Users can view the updated cybersecurity score on CoinGecko, with additional risk breakdowns across security, solvency and transparency, plus the Probability of Loss metric, available on CORE3.
