CoinGecko's Q2 2026 crypto market report reveals a 12.6% decline in total crypto market capitalization, reaching $2.1 trillion by June's end. The stablecoin market cap also saw a decrease of 1.6%, marking its first drop since Q3 2023, settling at $305.1 billion. Despite the overall downturn, prediction market trading volumes surged by 48.7% quarter-over-quarter, totaling $113.8 billion. In contrast, centralized exchange (CEX) spot trading volumes fell 27.9% to $1.95 trillion, with May recording a monthly low of $620 billion. Additionally, CEX perpetual contract trading volumes decreased by 10.0% to $12.7 trillion.
