CoinFello has launched OpenClaw, an open-source skill designed to enhance the security of AI agent transactions on MetaMask. OpenClaw allows AI agents to execute on-chain transactions without accessing user private keys, utilizing MetaMask's Smart Account Suite. It employs ERC-4337 smart accounts and ERC-7710 delegation mechanisms to grant AI agents minimal permissions necessary for specific tasks, reducing risks of prompt injection attacks.
The new skill supports a range of functionalities, including ERC-20 token swaps, cross-EVM chain bridging, NFT interactions, staking, lending, and multi-step trading strategies, all operable through natural language commands. CoinFello's CTO, Brett Cleary, emphasized the need for a robust security model to enable meaningful AI participation in the on-chain economy. OpenClaw is available under the MIT License.
