CoinEx founder Yang Haipo has outlined the exchange's MPC-based dual-signature hot wallet system as a security model worth industry adoption, even as the platform shuts down. The architecture eliminates single points of failure by requiring two completely independent systems—a business system and a wallet system managed by separate teams—to approve all transactions, ensuring assets cannot be stolen if only one system is compromised. The implementation required independently building wallet signing processes rather than relying on native node mechanisms, a task that took over a year to complete across nearly 300 supported chains. Both systems must pass real-time risk reviews for any withdrawal or transfer, creating a redundant security layer that prevents unauthorized asset movement even during partial infrastructure breaches.
