The deal involves exchanging 27,149,684 newly issued ordinary shares of Coincheck Group for the shares beneficially owned by Monex Group, which holds about 97% of 3iQ. Coincheck plans to offer similar acquisition terms to 3iQ's minority shareholders, aiming to own 100% of 3iQ.
3iQ, established in 2012, is known for launching the first Bitcoin and Ethereum funds on the Toronto Stock Exchange. In 2025, it expanded its offerings with the Solana Staking ETF and the XRP Spot ETF, marking significant milestones in the digital asset management sector.
