Coincheck Group, a Nasdaq-listed cryptocurrency exchange, announced a 17% year-over-year increase in third-quarter revenue, reaching approximately JPY 143.5 billion (USD 9.15 billion). Despite the revenue growth, gross profit fell 20% due to a 25% decline in trading volumes. The company reported a net profit of JPY 405 million, reversing a net loss of JPY 15.445 billion from the previous year.
Coincheck also revealed that CEO Gary Simanson will step down on March 31. Pascal St-Jean, currently the Chief Growth Officer and CEO of 3iQ, will take over as CEO on April 1.
