Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck has completed its acquisition of alternative digital asset management firm 3iQ, securing approximately 99.8% of the company's shares as of February 28. Initially, Coincheck had planned to acquire around 97% of 3iQ's shares, with the transaction expected to close in the second quarter of 2026 after meeting customary conditions. However, the deal was finalized ahead of schedule. 3iQ, a Canadian digital asset investment manager, is known for launching some of North America's first publicly listed Bitcoin and Ethereum funds.
