Coinbase has halted trading of MATIC and paused send/receive functions from October 14 to 17, 2025, as Polygon migrates its token to POL. During this period, the exchange will automatically convert MATIC balances, including staked assets, to POL. Users were advised to transfer their funds to self-custody wallets before the deadline if they preferred to manage the migration themselves. Additionally, staking services for MATIC were disabled on October 7, 2025, as part of the transition process.
