Coinbase has obtained a UK MiFID license, enabling it to offer a broader range of financial services in the UK. This authorization allows Coinbase's UK entity to provide derivatives services, including perpetual contracts on crypto, stocks, and commodities, to institutional and advanced traders. Additionally, for the first time, retail users will have access to stock trading through Coinbase's platform. The MiFID license complements Coinbase's existing e-money license and crypto asset business registration, aligning with its strategy to develop a comprehensive financial platform.
