This development provides users with immediate access to previously locked staked assets, enhancing liquidity and flexibility. Reward rates for staking vary by jurisdiction, reaching up to 15% APY. CEO Brian Armstrong noted the increasing demand for yield options that minimize withdrawal delays. Users can now opt for standard protocol queues, convert to cbETH, or choose instant withdrawal with a 1% fee. Coinbase believes this feature will bolster long-term adoption by improving market efficiency and user participation.
