This integration allows enterprise AI agents to autonomously discover services, pay with USDC, and execute tasks with compliance governance, budget controls, and audit trails. Settlements occur in approximately 200 milliseconds on Base and Solana, with fees under one cent. The x402 protocol enables businesses to grant AI agents financial autonomy through a single API call, without requiring accounts or subscriptions. Temporary budget limits can be set, and Coinbase provides AML and sanctions screening. Thousands of services, including Exa and Messari, are integrated, facilitating real-time searches and pay-as-you-go transactions. The x402 protocol, governed by the x402 Foundation, has processed over 169 million payments, marking a significant step in the adoption of Agentic Commerce.
