Coinbase has appointed former UK Chancellor George Osborne as the chair of its global advisory board. This strategic move aims to bolster the company's influence on crypto policy, particularly in the UK and EU. Osborne, who served as Chancellor from 2010 to 2016, also chairs the British Museum and is associated with Robey Warshaw LLP. Additionally, he was recently hired by OpenAI to assist with its international data center expansion. Coinbase's Chief Policy Officer, Faryar Shirzad, emphasized the firm's commitment to enhancing its engagement with global governments.
