The crypto community is raising alarms over the security risks posed by Clawdbot, an AI assistant capable of managing emails, calendars, and flights. Key opinion leaders (KOLs) have highlighted potential data leaks from prompt injection attacks as a significant threat. Notable figures, including entrepreneur Rahul Sood, recommend users—particularly those without coding expertise—operate Clawdbot in isolated environments, use new accounts, temporary phone numbers, and separate password managers to mitigate hacking risks. Former U.S. security expert Chad Nelson has also expressed concerns, warning that Clawdbot's ability to read documents, emails, and webpages could turn them into attack vectors, potentially compromising personal privacy and security. The growing use of such AI tools could fundamentally undermine these aspects, according to Nelson.
