Recent social media claims suggesting that Satoshi Nakamoto's 1.1 million bitcoin holdings can be accessed using a 24-word seed phrase have been debunked. Researchers from Galaxy Digital and onchain analyst Sani clarified that the BIP39 standard, which allows for seed phrase-based wallet recovery, was introduced in 2013, well after Satoshi's last known activity in 2010. They confirmed that Satoshi's wallets utilized raw 256-bit private keys, not mnemonic phrases. Blockchain data further supports this, showing no activity from these addresses since 2010.
