This prediction comes from Citigroup's fifth annual report, which surveyed 537 executives from various sectors, including financial market infrastructure and asset management. The report highlights that fixed income tokenization, cryptocurrency, and fund tokenization are expected to see the fastest growth.
The survey indicates that by 2030, 14% of private equity trading volume and 11% of over-the-counter collateral will be transacted using digital and tokenized assets. Additionally, fund and equity trading are anticipated to adopt this format, with fixed income and derivatives trading each expected to account for 9% of transactions.
