Circle has launched its tokenized money market fund, USYC, on the Solana blockchain, targeting non-US institutional investors. USYC represents shares in a short-term U.S. government money market fund, offering returns from the underlying assets. The fund is available only to qualified investors who have completed KYC/AML processes and passed wallet whitelist verification. On Solana, USYC can be utilized as an interest-bearing asset in lending protocols, margin collateral in perpetual DEXs, or in automated yield vaults. USYC is also supported on Base, Ethereum, and NEAR networks.
