Cipher Mining has announced the acquisition of a 200MW power and data center site named "Ulysses" in Ohio, marking its first expansion outside Texas into the largest wholesale electricity market in the U.S., PJM. The site is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2027. In addition to Bitcoin mining, the facility will support high-performance computing and data center services to meet the growing demand from major cloud providers like AWS and Google Cloud.
