China's Supreme People's Procuratorate has announced measures to enhance legal frameworks supporting high-quality development, focusing on economic and financial security. During the National Prosecutors' Meeting in Beijing on January 19, the Procuratorate emphasized the need for strict enforcement against serious economic crimes and the creation of a law-based business environment. The Procuratorate plans to collaborate with the Financial Regulatory Administration to address illegal intermediaries in the financial sector, targeting crimes such as illegal fundraising and financial fraud. Efforts will also focus on dismantling the financial "black and gray" markets to ensure stable financial operations and protect citizens' property. Additionally, the Procuratorate aims to intensify anti-money laundering efforts, particularly against crimes involving underground banks and virtual currency laundering.
