The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China has unveiled an ambitious plan to enhance the integration of the industrial internet and artificial intelligence by 2028. The "Action Plan for the Integration and Empowerment of Industrial Internet and Artificial Intelligence" aims to expand the scale of industrial networks to meet the demands of AI applications, focusing on high-throughput, low-latency, and high-reliability communication.
The initiative will accelerate deployment in key sectors such as raw materials, equipment manufacturing, consumer goods, and electronic information, with a goal to transform and upgrade at least 50,000 enterprises. The plan also includes improving systems for industrial data management and creating high-quality datasets across 20 key industries. Additionally, the MIIT intends to cultivate intelligent solution providers to support the collaborative advancement of enterprises of all sizes.
