As China concludes its 14th Five-Year Plan and begins planning the 15th, Wang highlighted the need to modernize the national cybersecurity system. Key focus areas include integrated circuits, basic software, artificial intelligence, and quantum information. Wang called for strengthening collaborative innovation within the industry chain and accelerating the development of core technologies. He stressed leveraging China's large market to promote independent ecosystems, such as software and open source code, to achieve significant breakthroughs in industrial applications. Additionally, Wang underscored the importance of institutional mechanisms like cybersecurity reviews and security assessments to mitigate risks and enhance supply chain security.
