China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has announced plans to establish a unified digital identity system for humanoid robots. The initiative, reported by PANews, involves the launch of the "Humanoid Robot Full Lifecycle Management Service Platform," which will assign unique digital identification codes to all bipedal humanoid robots produced in China. This system will cover the entire lifecycle of the robots, from production and use to recycling. The new guidelines are designed to apply to all industry stakeholders, including manufacturers, service providers, sales channels, end users, and recycling organizations. The aim is to enhance risk monitoring and industry supervision through a traceability mechanism, thereby promoting the standardized development of the humanoid robot industry in China.
