The People's Bank of China has reported an increase in its gold reserves for the 19th consecutive month. As of the end of May, China's gold holdings reached 74.96 million ounces, equivalent to approximately 2,331.52 tons. This marks a monthly increase of 320,000 ounces, or about 9.95 tons, from April's total of 74.64 million ounces. Additionally, China's foreign exchange reserves were recorded at $3,442.238 billion at the end of May.
