Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has projected that Pakistan could emerge as a global leader in the cryptocurrency sector by 2030 if it continues its current trajectory in regulation and application. Zhao commended Pakistan's leadership for its proactive approach in establishing a virtual asset regulatory body and enabling platforms like Binance and HTX to operate within the country. He highlighted Pakistan's initiatives, including exploring Bitcoin reserves and promoting the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) to attract foreign investment and enhance liquidity. Zhao emphasized the potential of tokenizing the stock market, which would allow global investors to directly invest in Pakistani assets, creating a "truly globalized investment channel." He also noted that blockchain technology offers lower entry barriers for individuals and SMEs compared to traditional banking or AI sectors. Zhao advocated for enhanced education, university programs, and incubator development to foster a local innovation ecosystem.
