Chainlink has announced the selection of MegaETH as the host for its first native on-chain real-time oracle, aimed at enhancing next-generation DeFi applications. This integration will enable Chainlink Data Streams to provide high-frequency market data directly within MegaETH’s execution environment, significantly reducing oracle latency and redundant updates, which have been persistent challenges for on-chain derivatives. MegaETH, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution, boasts the capability to process up to 100,000 transactions per second, making it ideal for applications requiring rapid transaction speeds akin to traditional exchanges. Additionally, MegaETH has introduced USDm, a native stablecoin developed on Ethena, to help subsidize sequencer fees and support real-time applications. The ecosystem is actively seeking funding for latency-sensitive projects, including the MegaETH-based derivatives platform Euphoria, which is currently raising $7.5 million in pre-seed and seed funding.
