Chainlink has released CCIP 2.0, a major upgrade to its cross-chain interoperability protocol that enables enterprises to implement custom security checks alongside the default network of 16 independent node operators. The updated infrastructure allows organizations to run their own validators or engage external providers such as Infosys and Nethermind while maintaining Chainlink's baseline verification for every transfer. Existing Chainlink users have been automatically migrated to the new version. The upgrade enhances the protocol's communication and bridge capabilities, offering validator-like options that give enterprises greater control over cross-chain fund transfers and blockchain communication security parameters.
