Chainlink Labs has joined the Global Alliance for KRW Stablecoin (GAKS), led by Wemade, to enhance the adoption of Korean won-backed stablecoins. The alliance, launched in November 2025, aims to develop a trusted KRW stablecoin ecosystem while ensuring compliance with Korean financial standards. Chainlink Labs will contribute its expertise in data integrity, interoperability, and privacy to strengthen the alliance's technical credibility.
Wemade, a platform with over 600 million users, is working to advance stablecoin standards and infrastructure in Korea. With Chainlink's involvement, the alliance seeks to build global-level standards and improve the reliability of KRW stablecoin frameworks. Chainlink's participation follows recent additions of Chainalysis, CertiK, and SentBe to GAKS, broadening the alliance's focus on compliance, security, and data infrastructure.
Chainlink's role as a leading oracle platform, adopted by major financial institutions, positions it as a key player in Korea's digital asset sector. The collaboration aims to accelerate KRW stablecoin adoption and support the development of next-generation digital asset infrastructure in Korea and the APAC region.
