Celsius Network has filed a lawsuit against Archblock Inc., alleging the company committed fraud involving millions of dollars by mismanaging funds linked to the TrueCurrency stablecoin. The bankrupt crypto lender claims Archblock falsely assured that the tokens were fully collateralized while actually investing the funds in risky offshore ventures. Celsius, during its bankruptcy proceedings, sought to redeem $12.9 million, but Archblock refused, citing a loss of access to reserves following the collapse of its custodial partner. From 2019 to 2022, Celsius minted over $14 million in TrueCurrency assets.
