Celestia has launched Eden, a high-performance EVM chain designed to experiment with the agent economy and study on-chain behavior and block space demand from autonomous agents. Built using the Evolve Stack with Celestia for data availability, Eden supports existing Solidity contracts and standard development tools including Hardhat, Foundry, Ethers, and Viem.
The network's inaugural experiment is a closed beta with @botfunHQ, enabling agents to issue tokens and trade based on narratives generated by other agents. During this test, every inference call was settled on-chain via the x402 protocol, briefly making Eden one of the highest-transaction chains utilizing the payment standard.
