ARK Invest founder Cathie Wood reposted an interview with David Sacks, Chairman of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, saying Sacks believes recent claims that “AI will destroy humanity” may be artificially orchestrated. Sacks said the remarks originated from a long-dormant X account belonging to an Anthropic employee who left the company six weeks after joining, before quickly reaching mainstream media. He also named parties involved in the incident and criticized The Wall Street Journal’s role. Wood said all technologies can be used for malicious purposes, while adding that figures such as Elon Musk, who continue to stress potential AI risks without participating in political conspiracies, play a positive role. “Half of solving a problem, including AI, is understanding the problem,” she said.
