Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research, has taken a full-time role at nonprofit charity Manifund, where she is working on its funding platform and charitable initiatives.
Manifund co-founder Austin Chen said Ellison began on a trial basis in July and moved to full-time in August, publishing work under the pseudonym “Carol.” Ellison pleaded guilty in December 2022 to fraud and conspiracy charges tied to FTX’s collapse, cooperated with prosecutors, and testified against Sam Bankman-Fried, who was later convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
