Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, has praised Monero's launch of the Full-Chain Membership Proof (FCMP++) Stressnet, calling it a significant milestone. The FCMP++ upgrade, which went live at block height 2,997,100, aims to enhance privacy by replacing ring signatures with a membership proof covering the entire blockchain. This allows users to prove ownership of one of over 150 million Monero outputs, significantly increasing privacy.
The FCMP++ and CARROT upgrades have been in development for over two years, involving extensive research and security audits. The testnet release marks a crucial step in integrating these features. Meanwhile, Cardano is also advancing its network with the Vasil hard fork, which has been submitted to the preview testnet, with a tentative schedule for approval set for May 8.
