Capital One 360 has reached a $425 million settlement in a class action lawsuit, with compensation set to be distributed to millions of customers starting July 27, 2026. The settlement, approved by a federal judge on April 20, 2026, covers customers who held a 360 Savings Account between September 18, 2019, and June 16, 2025. Payments will be automatic, with no claim form required, and will compensate for interest discrepancies between the 360 Savings and 360 Performance Savings accounts. The lawsuit, filed in 2023, alleged that Capital One reduced interest rates for existing 360 Savings account holders while offering higher rates to new customers. The settlement also mandates that Capital One align the interest rates of the two accounts. Attorney fees and administrative costs will be deducted from the settlement fund, affecting the final distribution amount. Customers can opt for electronic payments by March 30, 2026, or receive checks if entitled to $5 or more.
