ByteDance's Volcano Engine President Tan Dai announced the upcoming official launch of the Seedance 2.5 video generation model at the 2026 Volcano Engine FORCE Conference. Currently in global enterprise beta testing, Seedance 2.5 is set to debut in early July, featuring upgrades that support native 30-second single-segment video output and the import of 50 full-modality reference materials for precise video generation and editing. The conference also highlighted an upgrade to Seedance 2.0, now capable of generating native 4K videos. Additionally, ByteDance introduced a new AI copyright commercialization platform, with Stephen Chow as one of its first partners. This platform allows users on Douyin, Jimeng, CapCut, and other integrated tools to create derivative works using authorized templates from classic Stephen Chow films, with related creations already exceeding 100,000.
